Peter Khalil MP spoke to SKY NEWS NewsDay program on Scott Morrison and the Coalition who want to attack the system and return Australia to a time where only a few wealthy people could retire in comfort.
Working people have a right to a dignified retirement. The Australian Labor Party made that a reality for millions of Australians when we designed and introduced the world’s best universal superannuation system, and we are committed to keep finding ways to make it better. But Scott Morrison and the Coalition want to attack that system and return us to a time when only a few very wealthy people could retire in comfort. They recently announced a “retirement income review” and appointed Dr Deborah Ralston to the review – a person who has campaigned to dismantle universal super! Labor will always protect Australians' superannuation and defend the right of working Australians to retire with dignity.
