The media plays a pivotal role in shaping Australia’s sense of community. The media reports on, reflects and drives the debate on the major issues facing our country. It is critical that the people who present our news, the reporters, the journalists and commentators reflect the diversity of Australia. The case for a more diverse and representative media has been made time and time again.

Our media should be a reflection of our multicultural nation. However we have a long way to go to achieve this.
